Happy Thanksgiving!
Hey everybody. I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! And if you’re not from the States…um…well, try to imagine a time when your ancestors were having a really nice dinner with their scantily clad neighbors before, you, know…ahem…having some…err…land disputes with them. And then, flash forward a few hundred years…umm…and then eat a TON of turkey and stuffing and mashed potatoes while your relatives tell you all about which route they took to get there to avoid traffic, but how they’re going to take a DIFFERENT route home (to avoid different traffic.) And then, imagine one of your relatives forcing all of you practically at gunpoint to say something for which you are thankful (even the teenagers who aren’t thankful for anything yet and just want to be left alone). And then imagine eating pumpkin pie. Got it pictured in your head? That’s it! That’s Thanksgiving!
Hope everybody has a great holiday weekend, and I’ll see you here again on Monday for more manslating!

Happy Thanksgiving! Ours (thankfully) was relatively uneventful. (In other words, no one got hurt!?) It’s always cool when your brother gets drunk and says to your boyfriend, “Hey, man. Remember like 19 years ago when you guys were like 14 and I was 11? And I came into the den and screamed at you to get your mouth off my sister? And I threw you across the room? Thanks for not kicking my ass, man. Happy Thanksgiving. Have a beer.” I hope you had a wonderful holiday with friends and family! Best wishes, Shelby

Sian: Well, that takes care of any plans I ever had of moving to Australia!
Susan: No turkeys but the edible one this year, thanks!
Shelby: Man, you have the best awkward comment stories!

We have that in Australia too Jeff- It’s commonly known as Sunday night roast with the family- and is a weekly ritual in homes all around Oz every week
Lucky you just experiencing it ONCE a year.
Enjoy!
