Independence Day News!
-->(Manslator’s Note: Special thanks to Ms. Boulet for teaching me how to spell “Independence.” “It’s not the Indepen-DANCE, is it?”)
There will be no Manslation today. Trust me, the founding fathers would have wanted it this way. They didn’t go through all that revolution stuff just so I would have to write manslations on national holidays. That said, here are a few quick notes, just to keep you all informed on what’s going on in the bizarre world of Jeff Mac.
Couple of quickies.
AUSTRALIAN RULES MANSLATIONS
Number one, my delightful publisher, Sourcebooks, has sold the Australian publishing rights for Manslations! So in addition to seeing it here in the USA, all of you out there will be able to read my stuff down under. (It’s not dirty to say it that way, is it?)
Everybody — AUSSIE! AUSSIE! AUSSIE! (now all you Aussies know what to shout, right?)
NEW BLOGROLL-EES
No manslation to read today, so why not check out a couple of our new pals.
This is a brand spankin’ new website dedicated to the joys of being SINGLE, for once. Check ‘em out!
This is a great website hosted by the lovely and talented Alison Chase. The page I’ve linked features your very own Jeff Mac answering some breakup questions they asked me.
CAN YOU PAY ME NOW? GOOD!
Also look for your humble manslator in a Verizon commercial starting later this summer. Can’t tell you any more than that until it airs, but sufficeth to say…I look very, very dorky in it. Please feel free to pray for them to show it a LOT (hey, a manslator’s gotta eat.)
MAZELTOV HOLLY & ERIN!
A special congrats to my friend and total badass of a literary agent, Holly, who was married to my other pal, Erin, on Saturday in the Boathouse in Prospect Park in Brooklyn. One of the sweetest weddings I’ve ever attended, and a good time was had by all. Congrats!
We’ll be back on Monday for your regularly scheduled Manslations!
