manslations

Hey everybody,

Just a quick note — I’m going to be doing some major site overhaul this weekend. I’m moving manslations to a new web host. Once I’m there, I’m going to be playing around with the layout, etc. All of the posts, comments, archives should all come along for the ride.

Hopefully this won’t be too big of an interruption, but…well, when working with computers I’m always a little concerned with that word “hopefully.” This could be the kind of thing that could take 30 minutes, or 3 days of swearing (depending largely upon whether or not I decide to follow the instructions. And if I know me…sigh…see you in 3 days.)

So here are a few things to note. Note them well, miladies. Note them really well. Nota bene, if you’re into the whole dead language thing.

IF YOU SUBSCRIBE TO AN RSS FEED

As in, if you read this site via:

• Your Google or MyYahoo Homepage
• A feed reader like Google Reader, Bloglines, etc.

I’m hoping that this server switch won’t blow the feeds out of the water, but I just won’t know until I make the switch. I’ll do what I can to keep ‘em working, but if you stop getting your normal feed, it will be as simple as subscribing again after I’m back up and running.

(If you don’t know what an RSS feed is, this probably won’t affect you, you know?)

IF YOU RECEIVE MANSLATIONS VIA EMAIL ALERTS

Again, I am pretty sure that you won’t be affected, but if it’s not working, be patient. I’ll be able to fix that but it might take a little experimentation. I’ll make it happen, though.  I promise.

IF YOU FEAR CHANGE

Not much I can do for you, except to say that I’ll be here for you. And by “here for you” I mean that I will be at my home, thinking about ninjas and stuff.
